gender?

i dun recall registering with tagged. there just too many of these friendster wannabe sites out there. i not even sure if ppl still use friendster nowadays.
(i meant the younger generation as in teens, from a going to enter work-force perspective)
wat who lives near u, where are you now n tagged. ringo? funkygrad?

the amazing thing is that i'm listed as female inside tagged(i also dunno why, dun ask me), tried unsuccessfully after many attempts to change my profile but to no avail. click here dun have, click there also dun have. promptly cancelled my account. tried registering for a new account but kenna blocked. wat the hell? damn....

same module different workload

my fren's gonna kill me if she sees this post, but i just cant resist posting abt it. i have a fren who's taking the same mod as me, ES2007 but different timeslot so different lecturer. it's a seminar module style, so basically u just attend 2 2-hour tutorials in a week. it just so happens that my lecturer is one of the co-ordinators of the module n (writer of the text book), so there's more leeway in the way she conducts the lesson. i once asked my fren how come she keep carrying that ES2007 textbook about, then i found out that their lecturer was someone they hired from outside n supposed to be one of the students of the other writer of the book. so since the lectuerer is hired, she would have to follow everything by the book, hence more workload.
u never see me carrying that ES2007 text around, it's firmly lodged inside my science locker.

qiao cui

omg, this is the comment i get from my freshies, i look qiao cui. argh...

on other matters, i'm greatful for the recent showers, blow away the lousy haze. yeah!
i juz love this comment i saw in the papers sometime back,

"Singapore is just like a huge yellow box"

haha, no need to draw out yellow box for smoking liao.

Princess Hours

damn, i get sucked into another korean drama. finished watching the drama yesterday. was initially watching a few episodes on youtube, then got too tired of the loading n poor quality, so went out to buy the show. watched an episode on tv but got angry on the way they cut the series to fit the time frame of an hour including commercials. searched for a couple of places but finally decided on a dvd version which cost $30. it makes no sense to pay the same price for the vcd version. there are many versions out in the market with varying prices. (it makes u wonder if the version u buy is the original or not) i cant stand poor mandarin voice-overs so i usually watch drama in their native language. in koran n jap respectively.

these pix were taken at vil'age, the former marche at heeren.

all the october bdae ppl...

some pix from the bowling gathering a wk back,

the best thing is that i dun know everyone in the picture, haha...

just thought i post some pix of my fren's sis's wedding, haha, it was pretty way back, but i only had time to post it now.

make some sense please

saw a bus uncle asking a secondary sch kid (in sch uniform no less) for some identification while the kid was trying to pay student fare,
eh which part of the student does he not look like a student?
in sch uniform some more leh.

even if the person was an adult n trying to pay child/student fare, i think its a pretty bad attempt.

sometimes there are too many stupid rules around...

bad habit

i dunno whether to classify this as a bad habit or just attentive. but it seems that i'll either purposely or in most cases un-intentionally "eavesdrop" on other ppl 's conversation.

esp on public transport, but i must first clarify that usually when ppl discuss things on a bus, train, or in queue, they just happen to discuss it at a volume that i can hear clearly.

i find out a lot of stuff that i dun wanna know:
someone who stays in Bishan whining abt the long journey here, speaking to another guy staying in bedok.
gal A gossiping to gal B abt who n who,
plus countless others....

super lame pick lines

  • Hi, i can make more money than you can spend.
  • If you were a new burger in Mcdonalds, you would be called Mcgorgeous.
  • Do have any raisins? If not, how about a date?
  • If looks could kill, you would be a weapon of mass destruction.
  • Hey, wanna be a pirate with me? maybe we could hook up.
  • Hi, i'm a dog, can i bury my bone somewhere with you?
  • I hope you know CPR, cause you just took my breath away.
  • I think you're a zoo, cause you bring out the animal in me.
  • I may not be Elmo, but you can tickle me anytime.

spotted around science, laughing my ass away...

tests n more tests

super hate the feeling of being surprised (in a negative way)

eg: surprise tests during lectures, i rather have a formal announcement followed by the actual test, rather than being surprised. although the tests were (in the words of the lecturer) not counted towards your grade, but he said it could be used as a bonus or replacement if u did not do well during the mid-term.

but nvm, the pt is i didnt go take the test. i knew it was coming, could feel it. thought it would be during last fri, but it seems the lecturer decided to give it today.

finished one test in the morning, was not physically+mentally prepared to take any more test for the day. was super tired from lack of sleep.

oh well, there seems to be endless stuff for me to do.
it simply does not make sense to be more stress during a 5 mod sem as compared to a 6 mod sem.

give clock

= song zhong (which losely translates into giving funeral or sum thing like that)

so it's actually taboo to give clocks to ppl, esp chinese ppl.

but some cock-ster(god knows who) packed a clock as a lucky draw prize, and it just so happen that i won that prize.

the thing is the event was organised by the tampines changkat cc, it's a community club event, surely someone inside must have the brains to tell the one packing the prizes, that giving clocks is taboo. luckily i'm not that superstitous else i might even argue with the organisers. my mom did. she promptly called the cc up to tell them not to do give away such stuff again.

lousy october

it's gonna be a hectic october.

2 tests
1 survey report
1 assignment
1 presentation

endless ma1100 assignments, argh. (forgot that the due date was yesterday for a particular assignement, so in the end , never do n never submit. luckily it's juz one of the 10 assignments that we must do, they will onli pick the best 5)

wake me up when october ends...

how to spot a potential survey taker

  1. restless-looking. keeps muching on straw of drink. keeps looking around while waiting for other frens to finish food.
  2. have frens who are already doing the survey, ie peer pressure.

i had to go down to arts canteen during lunch hours to get ppl to fill in surveys for my ES2007 mod survey report. had to do it alone as my other project mates were having lessons. we could have simply juz gone with the online version but it seems that we ended up with more Science responses than Arts responses. the reason why we need arts responses; is because we're doing a survey on the feasibility on setting up a temporary arts canteen during the renovation of the arts canteen. hence arts ppl will be the ones most affected.

some ppl who fill in the survey are really nice, ie they take time off while in the midst of their meal and help u fill in the survey. the best is still the kind finish survey liao, point u in the direction of their frens who will also help u fill in survey.

then there are also those who really read the qns properly, think thru before giving u their response. ie they really take time to digest the qns n give u honest responses.

while they are some will refuse to do no matter wat u say or even anyhow fill in the data.

Fragility of life

i'm supposed to blog abt the bowling chalet, the comp i took part in on sat, n wat -ever.

but it seems that all that i can blog abt is the death of my uncle.

i dunno how it happened, it all juz seemed so sudden. he was warded into icu 2 wks back. the doc did say that there was some improvement in his condition but he still told us to be mentally prepared. we were making plans to visit him today but it seems the onli news we got was of his passing away.

on hindsight, it may not be such a bad thing to move on, considering the seriousness of his condition, but wats over is over. and we can only hope he's in a better place rite now.
